Kenny Bowers announced today that he has opened his second Kenny’s Burger Joint in Plano. Bowers is a long time Dallas chef and restaurateur, first partnering in 1992 to open  Daddy Jack’s Lobster & Chowder House on Greenville Avenue. Bowers then went on to open  Lefty’s Lobster and Chowder House in 1996, and was partner in Rockfish Seafood Grill in 1999. Bowers since went on to open his upscale restaurant Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill in Addison, the Burger Joint, Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison, Texas, and Kenny’s Smoke House in the Shops of Legacy.

The latest Burger Joint is located in Lakeside Market at 5809 Preston in Plano. Look for crave favorites such as his monster El Jefe burger which consists of a 3-pound beef patty topped with french fries, chili, queso, jalapenos, a half pound of bacon, onions, pickles, lettuce and tomato. It’s all sandwiched between two giant slices of Texas toast. The monster burger clocks in at over 7,000 calories. The Steak Bomb is Kenny’s giant answer to the Phillie Cheesesteak. We also appreciate Sunday’s at Kenny’s where you can buy a single rib for a dollar. Genius for those who have ever seen the flick “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka”.

There are items on the menu which represent a lighter diet, but the Zed’s Straight Up is definitely worth checking out. The simple burger is as beautiful as is delicious, and the wood fire treatment is amazing and ou may order it is pink in the center as you wish. To further show his sense of humor here is also a cheese burger called the Royale with Cheese.

For thirsty adults you may enjoy his kicked up milk shakes and Grey Goose chilled on tap.
